Technical Meeting Scientific Article Competition SOCIUS

Surabaya, August 31st 2026 The SOCIUS Committee held The Technical Meeting for the Scientific Article Presentation Competition was held to provide participants with information regarding the presentation procedures, presentation order, time allocation, and judging criteria. Ms Rizky Trisna Putri, S.P., M.Si. was explaining the rules and scoring for the final presentation. 

During the Technical Meeting, the presentation order was determined through a spin wheel. Based on the results, the order of presentation was established as follows:

1. Roisatul Wafiyah Al Afifah – State University of Surabaya (UNESA)

2. Epifania Gica Da Costa – University of Dili (UNDIL)

3. Ailyn Medianero – Capiz State University (CAPSU)

4. Daulo John Wayne L – Capiz State University (CAPSU)

The Technical Meeting also covered several presentation regulations that have been agreed upon and will be applied during the competition. First, there is no maximum limit on the number of slides used in the presentation. Participants may determine the number of slides according to the needs of their scientific article.

Second, each group is given a maximum of 10 minutes to present their scientific article. Participants are expected to manage their presentation time effectively and ensure that the main points of their research are delivered within the allocated time.

Third, the judging process will take place for 15 minutes after each presentation. During this session, the judges will conduct their assessment based on the established judging criteria.

The judging criteria explained during the Technical Meeting are as follows:

1. Mastery of the Material – 25%

2. Originality of the Research – 20%

3. Presentation Delivery – 15%

4. Presentation Media – 10%

5. Argumentation and Analysis – 10%

6. Question and Answer (Q&A) – 15%

All participants have received and understood the information and regulations presented during the Technical Meeting. The results of this Technical Meeting will serve as the official guideline for the implementation of the Scientific Article Presentation Competition.
